RPM exists to give you the best motorcycle ride possible. Every aspect of our rental business is centered on making your experience memorable. But there’s something that matters to us even more than giving you the perfect journey: Getting you home safely.
Our motorcycles are heavy, powerful machines. We rent them only to riders who can handle the responsibility. That means you have to be at least 25 years old and you must hold a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement. While South Carolina law doesn’t require you to wear a helmet, we do insist that you have one. If you don’t have your own, the contract you’ll sign stipulates you’ll take one that we provide.
In addition, we urge you to follow guidelines the U.S. Department of Transportation offers for safe biking:
- Watch the no-zones, large blind spots on either side of trucks.
- Always wear a helmet.
- Drive to survive, keeping aware of everything on the road. Remember that all rules of the road apply to bikes as well as automobiles.
- Inspect your bike and any protective gear before each ride.
- Watch your speed. Motorcycles accelerate faster than any other vehicles and trucks and buses the slowest.
